Strong Bonds

I've been a horrible blogger as of late and haven't done an update in 5 weeks! Sorry 'bout that. I thought today would be a great day to update due to the gray sky's and the fact that I just want to stay indoors.

Tyler and I have been keeping pretty busy over the last month... Cooking for friends, going out, shopping and our most recent event, the "Strong Bonds Marriage Retreat." It took place over the course of 3 days at the Dragon Hill Lodge where all expenses were paid! We got to get away and relax for those three days and it was so great not to have to do laundry or wash dishes and in Tyler's case, not go to work!

I feel like I shouldn't eat for about a week because of all the food we ate while we were there! We might have spent $20 the whole time. It was really great. The material we learned from is called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage. The man who does this is named Mark Gungor. It's all Christian based but it's not so drenched in the Bible that you feel like your learning more about God than about how to better your marriage. Tyler and I like to go to marriage retreats because we feel like all information is good information. There were couples doing the retreat that have been married 34 years!

This conference had the best material! I really feel like I have a deeper understanding of how men work and how I can use that to better my marriage. I signed up for the newsletter I liked it so much! I encourage you to take a peek at some of the material here.

Aside from the material based part of the retreat, we also went on a tour. We went to a Buddhist temple, a Tae Kwon Do show and an electronics shop. I snapped a few pictures at he temple and thought it was pretty interesting to actually see people worshiping Buddha. Many Korean people are atheist but the one's that do follow a religion are either Christian or Buddhist. Just some tid bits for ya!

Well it's finally Friday again! Tomorrow we are off to the "French District" to see what it's all about. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm so I can get snap a few shots along the way. Hope you liked the update. Toodles!
